b'Sharing a Passion for Service and Planning AheadPaul Lindman and Rebecca Mestelle each developed a passion for serving othersat an early age. As a child, Paul was influenced by conversations with a brother- in-law who was a missionary in post-war Korea. Rebecca recalls seeing her father, who had very limited means at the time, rent a motel room for a week for ahomeless family who had just arrived in their town. The couple carried those lessons of service into adulthood. Rebecca came toChicago from Michigan and initially worked in marketing until, at the age of 40, she began a second career as a middle school teacher. Paul moved to Chicago from Rockford, IL, where he pursued a two-pronged interest: business, finance, and economics; and spirituality. He worked in health care management before moving into planned and deferred giving, where he established a trust company to support charitable programs. Paul and Rebeccas move to Westminster Place was a natural time to revisittheir estate plan. They agreed to identify a percentage of their estate for theFellowship Program of the Geneva Foundation of Presbyterian Living. Paul Lindman & Rebecca MestellePaul explains, We believe in supporting fellowship at Westminster Place Westminster Place and want to remember people who Residents and Estate are less advantaged or who have had reversals in life.Plan Donors to the Fellowship ProgramSince the couple are planners by nature, this decision perfectly supports theirinclination to make arrangements in advance and their passion for serving others.
